Funeral Home Catches Fire In Portsmouth
When firefighters arrived at Connors Funeral Home in Portsmouth, flames were shooting from the roof and chimney.
PORTSMOUTH, RI — A funeral home in Portsmouth caught fire on Friday afternoon.
Fire officials said crews were called to Conners Funeral Home on West Main Road just before 1:30 p.m. When firefighters arrived, flames were shooting from the roof and chimney.
Firefighters from Tiverton, Middletown helped the Portsmouth Fire Department battle the flames, while crews from Bristol and the U.S. Naval Base in Newport provided station coverage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
