Man Allegedly Jumps in Front of Cruiser, Swears at Cops

Portsmouth police made the following arrests recently. 

Man allegedly jumps in front of police cruiser

Three were arrested after a vehicle was stopped in Common Fence Point on May 12 at 12:30 a.m.

Bristol police first attempted to stop a motor vehicle for traveling at a high speed. The vehicle continued over Mt. Hope Bridge to Boyd's Lane and Anthony Road into Common Fence Point. The vehicle was finally stopped on Massachusetts Boulevard.

Police detected a strong aroma of alcohol on the operator, Jordan Dickau, 21, of South Glastonbury, CT. Dickau refused a field sobriety test and, after being transported to the police station, allegedly refused a Breathalyzer. He was charged with DUI, elluding and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

A passenger in the vehicle, Ryan Skerritt, 22, of Bristol, was also arrested. He was wanted on a bench warrant from Sixth District Court for failure to appear at sentencing. 

Another passenger, Brian Fratello, 22, of 314 Point Road, Portsmouth, was also arrested. 

As the Portsmouth police cruisers, with Skerritt and Dickau inside, were attempting to drive away, Fratello allegedly ran in front of one of the moving police cruisers. Police say Fratello began yelling and swearing at the police cruiser. 

He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. 

Man allegedly sends harassing text messages  

Sean Casey, 28, of no known permanent address, was arrested on May 12 at 4 p.m. and charged with domestic, harassing text messages, and domestic, disorderly conduct. 

Police were called to a South Drive residence at 1:15 a.m. Casey allegedly sent several text messages to a 26-year-old Portsmouth woman. She asked him to stop and he allegedly continued to send messages.

He then showed up at the residence, banging and yelling at the front door. After forcing himself into the residence, the woman told him she would call the police.

Casey then fled the scene. He was later found and arrested at the Park and Ride on Boyd's Lane.
