Obituary: Keith A. Farrea, 58

Keith A. Farrea, 58, of East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Newport Hospital.

He was the husband of Cathleen (Purdy) Farrea.

Born in Newport, RI on July 6, 1957, he was the son of the late Thomas P. and Helen (Dolan) Farrea.

Words cannot express how much Keith loved and cared for his family. Throughout his life, family came first. He was a hard worker from a young age working with his father on the farm, eventually doing landscaping, then passing on his knowledge and love of farming equipment and outdoors to his children. He loved animals, especially his two dogs, taking walks, and his country. Keith had a smile that would light up the room. He was taken from us much too soon and will be dearly missed by all.

In addition to his wife, Cathleen, he is survived by his son, Stephen T. Farrea; his daughter, Kerry Farrea, both of Portsmouth, RI; and his brothers, Thomas Farrea of South Carolina, and Gary Farrea of East Providence, RI.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Spring Street at Memorial Blvd., Newport, RI.
