Paving Projects Coming To Portsmouth Neighborhoods

Expect some delays and plan to seek alternate routes while paving is underway.

PORTSMOUTH, RI — Expect some delays in Portsmouth over the next month. Starting July 26, paving projects will be underway around town, likely causing some traffic delays.

Parking will be prohibited on streets during construction, and only local traffic will be allowed through. POrtsmouth police asked drivers to seek an alternate route whenever possible.

The following streets are scheduled to be paved from July 26 to Aug. 26.

  • Mohawk Drive
  • James Court
  • Cornelius Drive (to the first cul-de-sac)
  • Copper Beech Drive
  • Taylor Road from Adams Drive to the cul-de-sac
