Police Log: Portsmouth Woman Allegedly Slaps Man

Portsmouth woman allegedly slaps man

Beth Champion, 26, of 16 Caffey Circle, Portsmouth, was arrested on March 3 at 6 p.m. and charged with domestic, simple assault.

Police say Champion became involved in an argument with a 27-year-old Portsmouth man. During the argument, she allegedly slapped him in the face and fled.

She was later located by Newport police and turned over to Portsmouth police.

Timothy Dwyer, 50, of 27 Lawton Brook Lane, Portsmouth, was arrested on March 1 at 7:30 a.m. 

Police say Dwyer was wanted on a Second District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for bail violation. 

Dwyer turned himself in at the police station. He was turned over to the custody of Newport police, who also issued an affidavit arrest warrant for Dwyer.
