Portsmouth Police Giving Free Backpacks, Back-To-School Haircuts
Backpacks will go to Portsmouth students on a first-come, first-serve basis, from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sept. 6, at police headquarters.
PORTSMOUTH, RI — The Portsmouth Police Department is partnering with Butler Basketball Club to host free drawstring backpacks and haircuts for local students.
Backpacks will be given to Portsmouth students on a first-come, first-serve basis, from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sept. 6, at police headquarters.
The giveaways will also take place at several locations throughout the region. Vouchers are needed for the haircuts. See all the giveaway spots below:
