Portsmouth Woman Pleads Guilty In Connection To Husband's Death
In Newport Superior Court on Thursday, Lisa Almeida (Laureanno) pleaded guilty to manslaughter.for shooting her husband.
PORTSMOUTH, RI—Lisa Almeida, 59, pleaded guilty Thursday in Newport Superior Court to manslaughter for killing her 69-year-old husband Manuel Laureanno back in May 2016. Portsmouth police said she called 911 to report she had shot her husband. The police also said they had been called to the residence in 2009 for a domestic violence complaint. He was arrested for allegedly assaulting her.
