RI: 4-Car Crash On Mount Hope Bridge

PORTSMOUTH, RI -- Crews responded to an accident on the Mount Hope Bridge on Tuesday afternoon. The first call for help came around 12:35 p.m., the Portsmouth Fire Department said. Four cars were involved, but there were no major injuries. One patient went to Newport Hospital, and a second patient was taken to the hospital in Fall River, Mass. Earlier reports of a car fire and a person suffering a medical emergency were unfounded, the fire department said.
