Thunderstorms, Flooding Expected in Portsmouth
In case you haven't heard the rumbles, thunderstorms are rolling through town right now with more rain expected this afternoon.

The National Weather Service says thunderstorms are heading north, continuing until late this afternoon.Â

A half inch of rain or more will create minor ponding in low-lying areas. The National Weather Service has issued an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for northeastern Newport County.Â
Minor flooding could also occur in Bristol, Fall River, Tiverton, Westport and Little Compton. Residents are advised to drive around flooded areas.Â
