Tootie Fruity: Portsmouth Police Seize Marijuna Candy Haul
A driver had more than 700 marijuana candies in his car when he was pulled over, Portsmouth police allege.

PORTSMOUTH, RI—Portsmouth police say they seized a haul of marijuana candy Saturday when they stopped a driver shortly after midnight. David Myrick was arrested on Route 24 North near Boyd's Lane after officers spotted him allegedly driving in and out of the breakdown lane. His car was searched. Police allege they found more than 700 "pieces of individually wrapped marijuana candies which were marked with names “Tangerine Mango, Pina Colada, Pineapple Pomegranate and Tootie Fruity.” They also found money and more than two ounces of marijuana. Myrick is being charged with Driving under the influence and marijuana possession. Additional charges may be pending. Police have referred the case to the state Attorney General's office for a review.
