🌱 Juveniles Banned From Providence Place + RI Ethics Commission

Here are the top three stories today in Providence:

  1. Providence police have arrested a New Jersey man in connection to a Jan. 2021 homicide. 22-year-old Roshane Latty was found in the area of Donigan Park in Providence and was arrested on Dec. 22, 2021. Latty is in custody of the Passaic County Jail in New Jersey, and is facing charges for Murder, first degree; Possession of a Knife for an Unlawful Purpose, third degree; and Unlawful Possession of a Knife, fourth degree.   2. Multiple juveniles were banned from the Providence Place Mall following incidents that took place over the weekend. On Saturday, two individuals were detained after security attempted to restrain the pair who were fighting while coming down an escalator shortly after 5 PM. In a separate incident, a third individual threatened a security officer and was detained. All three are now facing bans from the mall property for one to three years. (GoLocalProv)
  3. A complaint against Anthony Silva, Gov. Dan McKee’s former Chief of Staff, was dismissed by The Rhode Island Ethics Commission. The complaint stated Silva had failed to disclose a financial interest in a piece of land in Cumberland. However, in a unanimous vote, it was determined there was no probable cause that he violated any laws. (WLNE-TV (ABC6))
