Here are the top stories today in Providence:

  1. Providence police made multiple arrests on Saturday night after they broke up a fight with over 100 juveniles. Shortly before 7 PM, police responded to the Providence Place Mall for a report of a large fight and upon arrival, a female juvenile said she was pepper-sprayed in the face by a male juvenile. Upon arresting the male, multiple people began to yell at police and instigated the crowd in an attempt to block officers from performing their duties; multiple units were called in for backup. Three juveniles in total were arrested and turned over to the Youth Service Bureau for charging. (GoLocalProv)
  2. Crossroads Rhode Island is asking for donations this Giving Tuesday. Passionate about ending homelessness, a group of donors has offered to triple donations up to $30,000 today through midnight tomorrow. These urgently-needed funds will help Crossroads get more individuals and families into stable housing where they can stay out of the cold and remain safe during the pandemic. (WPRI.com)
