  1. On Friday, the Providence Performing Arts Center announced that a limited number of rush seats will be available for $24 for every performance of RENT - 25th Anniversary Farewell Tour. RENT performs at PPAC from Friday, Jan. 14 through Sunday, Jan. 16. The $24 tickets are available for in-person purchases at the PPAC Box Office window two hours prior to each show; for general ticket information, prospective attendees can call the PPAC Box Office.   2. On Friday, a Providence man threatened a snowplow driver with a gun out of frustration with the plow dumping snow on his property, he told police. The driver of the snowplow reported that he did not see the man's gun and did not wish to press charges. The man was let off with a verbal warning. (GoLocalProv)
  3. According to its latest modeling, the Rhode Island Department of Health expects COVID-19 infections to peak next week "followed by steady, significant declines."
