Rhode Island Coronavirus: Confirmed Cases Top 7,000
Rhode Island reported 13 additional coronavirus deaths, bring the total to 215.

RHODE ISLAND —Rhode Island officials reported 430 new confirmed coronavirus cases Saturday, bringing the total to 7,129 in the ongoing pandemic.
The state also reported 13 new coronavirus-related deaths Saturday. That brings the total number of Rhode Island coronavirus deaths to 215. There are currently 263 coronavirus patients hospitalized in Rhode Island, including 77 in intensive care units and 52 on ventilators.
The number of new cases was slightly lower than Friday's 437 new cases. It was the first time in nearly a week that the daily count of new coronavirus cases dropped.

"It's about the same as yesterday. That is good news," Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo said in her daily press briefing. "We're definitely in a plateau."
