Registration Plate Forger Caught During Richmond Traffic Stop: Cops

RICHMOND, RI — A registration plate forger was caught during a Wednesday afternoon traffic stop, police said.

Lorenzo Jonathan Sanchez Martinez, 22, was arrested about 2:45 p.m. after a trooper pulled him over on Interstate 95 in Richmond, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Martinez, a resident of Juarez, Mexico, was arrested on a charge of forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates, according to the release.

Martinez was taken to the Hope Valley Barracks, arraigned and released with a court date, the release said.
