Meet A Future Leader In Scituate: Abigail Chatelle
Patch and T-Mobile have partnered to highlight young people achieving great things in our community.

The future of Scituate is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Abigail Chatelle, who are making a positive impact in and around Scituate.
Abigail, who graduated second in the class of 2024 at Scituate High School, has distinguished herself as an exceptional young leader through her academic, athletic and personal achievements. Abigail has earned a full academic scholarship to the University of Rhode Island as a Thomas M. Ryan Scholar, where she will major in biology on a pre-medicine track and minor in Spanish.
Abigail’s extensive involvement at Scituate High School underscores her commitment to leadership and service. She served as president of Rhode Island HOSA and the National Honor Society, vice president of the Class of 2024 and Scituate HOSA and captain of the 2024 softball team. Her accolades include the HOSA-Future Health Professional Outstanding Leader Award, a Top 10 international finish in the HOSA Health Education event, the Silver Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish and the Rhode Island Civic Leadership Award.

Reflecting on her time at SHS, Abigail credits her family, friends and teachers for supporting her success and personal growth, particularly during challenging moments such as undergoing multiple surgeries in her junior year. Her self-motivation and the encouragement of her parents and three sisters inspired her to excel both in and out of the classroom.
