
Clothing Drive Sept. 14 - Smithfield will host a clothing and household goods collection on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. until 1 pm at the Smithfield Public Works Garage (3 Spragueville Road – behind Dave’s Towing Service).
Un-wearable clothing will be recycled into new fabric while all wearable clothing and useable household items will be donated to Big Sisters of Rhode Island.For more information contact Smithfield Recycling Coordinator, Lori Gagnon or call (401) 233-1034 ext. 105.
Background Checks for Volunteers - The Smithfield Police Department is offering to run BCI checks for all parents volunteering in the schools (Smithfield residents only) free of charge. Please bring your photo ID and visit the Smithfield Police Department, Tuesday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to have your BCI check completed.
