Friday Five: Pond Storytime, May Breakfast, YMCA Road Race

Get ready for the weekend, and check out these things to know:

 

Around the Pond: Who's Been Here? Enjoy storytime with your preschooler(Ages 3-5) each month. The programs include the reading of a nature story with hands-on activities followed by a nature craft or live animal visit 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Powder Mill Ledges Wildlife Refuge, 12 Sanderson Road today.

Adults must accompany children. Member Fee: $5/member child.Non-Member Fee: $6/non-member child. Registration is required for all programs unless noted. Email programs@asri.org or call 401-949-5454 x 0. Course Number: 114333-568.

Y Blood Drive - The Smithfield YMCA is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, April 23 from 4:30 - 8 p.m. Please think about donating blood to help save lives. Call Shauna at 949-2480 ext. 12 to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome too, but due to Monday's tragedy in Boston, the RI Blood Center is expecting and hoping for higher volume than usual.

YMCA Road Race - Mark you calendars for the Smithfield YMCA F. Monroe Allen 5K Road Race and Big Truck Day & Healthy Kids Day April 27, 9 a.m. at the Smithfield YMCA,  15 Deerfield Dr.
