Lenore H. West: Cub Scout Leader, PTA Member

Lenore H. West, 92, of Coolridge Avenue, died Sunday at Fatima Hospital, according to Anderons Winfield Funeral Home.

Lenore was the wife of Archie West. They had been married for 61 years after having met on the Newport Naval Base where they worked during WWII. 

Born in West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Bessie (Taylor) Bourque. She enjoyed knitting and sewing. She was a former Cub Scout leader and a member of the PTA.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter Donna L. Fleming of Pascoag, her son, Mark S. West and Karen Lowe of Smithfield, her grandchildren: Scott and Sarah Fleming, her great grandchildren: Alexis and Cassandra Fleming and a sister Gloria Legault of Coventry.

She was the sister of the late George Bourque and Shirley Laiho. Her funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 11am in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation omitted. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Meals on Wheels of RI, 70 Bath Street, Providence, RI 02908.
