Monday Essentials: A Peek Ahead at Smithfield Events

Give Blood today - On Monday, July 22 Rhode Island Blood Center Bloodmobile will be at Bryant University, 1150 Douglas Pike, from 9:30am to 12:30pm. No appointment necessary.

Movies tonight - The Crossing at Smithfield is inviting their shoppers to enjoy outdoor “Family Movie Nights” every Monday night in July. Tonight's movie is "Annie" Movie showings will take place at the gazebo on a giant inflatable screen for the ultimate in outdoor family viewing.  Movies will begin around 8 p.m. Beginning at 6pm there will be face painting, outdoor music, and refreshments from some of the center restaurants for moviegoers to enjoy. 

Music at the Crossings Tuesday - Tuesday, from 6 to 8 p.m., weather permiting, The Crossings at Smithfield will present Sarah Potenza's country, blues and rock performance. Bring a blanket.

Yoga in the Park Tuesday 
- Don't forget to join Smithfield YMCA for Yoga in the Park on Tuesdays at 7 a.m. or Saturdays at 8 a.m. with Certified Instructor Renee Maxwell! Call (401) 949-2480 to register.

School Com Tuesday - 
If you're a morning person, you could check in with the Smithfield School Committee in the early morning at 8 a.m. for the Superintendent’s Citizen’s Advisory Committee Workshop. 

Greenville Inn re-opens TuesdayThe Greenville Inn opens again after a hiatus for vacation since July 8. The Italian restaurant will be back, offering a new air conditioning system, cool salads and lobster rolls. 

Blackstone Culinaria  - The Blackstone Culinaria Secret Ingredient tour visits Smithfield July 24 at 6 p.m. at  A & W Root Beer 460 Putnam Pike:

Demo: Learn how A & W Root beer is made.

Meal: A & W Root beer, a hamburger or hot dog, French fries or onion rings and a ½ gallon of freshly made A & W Root Beer to take home. Tickets are $20.46 online.
