RI Future: Council to Hear Name Change for Domin Avenue
A request to change the name of Domin Avenue, named after a Ku Klux Klan leader, is scheduled to go before the Town Council tonight, the website reported.
Among the items on tonight's Smithfield Town Council meeting is a request to change the name of Domin Avenue, which was originally named after a 1920s-era leader of the Ku Klux Klan, the RI Future website reported today.
Several residents have sent letters to the town suggesting names like Harmony Road, Moral Way, or Rainbow Way, the Valley Breeze reported last week.
