Smithfield Schools Cancel Friday Classes in Advance Of Storm
Several schools made the call to cancel mid-afternoon.

With a winter storm on its way and the town under a Blizzard Watch, school cancelations are already being issued for tomorrow:

Snow will begin Friday morning, possibly mixing with rain in the afternoon, before returning Friday night to heavy, wet snow that could fall at a rate of up to 3 inches an hour, according to the National Weather Service.
