Smithfield Police Arrest Bryant Student for Pot, Amphetamine Possession
Bryant Public Safety Officers found drugs after call for marijuana smell, called in SFD.

On March 27, at 1 a.m., Smithfield Patrolman Lucas Cruse responded to the station to meet with Justin Rousso, 19, of 1150 Douglas Pike, apt. #9-113 who had turned himself in on charges of posession of marijuana and amphetamines.
Earlier on March 26 at 10:15 p.m., Bryant Public Safety officers had called in Smithfield Police after they responded to Hall 9, Room 113 to investigate a reported odor of marijuana. Inside the room, of which Rousso was the sole occupant, BPS located a clear plastic contatiner with what later tested positive for marijuana. They also found a bag containing three blue pills later tested positive for amphetamines.

Smithfield Police seized the drugs but could not immediately locate Rousso, and they returned to Smithfield Police Headquarters to test the suspected drugs.
When Rousso turned himself in a few hours later the next morning, he was charged with posession of amphetamines valued at $30 and posession of marijuana valued at $100, first offense. He was released with a court summons for April 9 at Kent County Courthouse.
