Smithfield Police Log: March 18 through March 21

Monday, March 18:
- At about 7:45 a.m., a Smithfield Police officer responded to an address on George Washington Highway for a report of domestic simple assault and disorderly conduct.
- At about 3:45 p.m., a Smithfield Police officer responded to Pleasant View Ave. at Gallagher Middle school for a three-car crash. There were no injuries reported.
- At about 11:45 p.m., a Smithfield police officer responded to a local parking lot for a report of a child who ran from his mother's vehicle. The child was located.

- At about 7:45 a.m., a Smithfield officer responded to the area of the Smithfield YMCA for a report of suspicious activity. Two youths were located walking in the are and returned to their parents.
- At about 3:45 p.m., Smithfield Police responded to Rte. 295 North before exit 8 for a traffic accident, no injuries.
- At about 3:45 p.m., Smithfield Police responded to Route 44 at Esmond Street, arresting Catreana D. Labonte, 21, for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
- At about 3:45 p.m., Smithfield Police responded to 52 Thurber Boulevard for a car driven into a pole, no injuries.
- At about 3:45 p.m., Smithfield Police responded to Rte. 44 west over Rte. 295 for a traffic accident, no injuries.
Wednesday, March 20:
- At about 7:45 a.m., Smithfield police responded to Rte. 44 east over 295 for a traffic accident, no injuries.
- At about 3:45 p.m., a Smithfield officer arrested Alexandra Silva, 18, for failing to appear in court on a felony assault charge.
- At about 11:45 p.m., a Smithfield officer responed to Rte. 44 at Kentucky Fried Chicken for a traffic accident with minor injuries.
- At about 11:45 p.m., a Smithfield officer arrested Francisco Lopes, 21, on a warrant from the Pawtucket Police Department for domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct.
- At about 11:45 p.m, a Smithfield officer responded to the Rte. 44 Hess Station for a traffic accident with minor injuries.
- At about 11:45 p.m., a Smithfield officer arrested Benjamin Chabot, 28, for possession of marijuana.

- At about 3:45 p.m., a Smithfield officer responded to Tasca Sand and Gravel at 44 Log Road for a report of malicious damage to machines.
- At about 11:45 p.m., a Smithfield officer arrested Keiawanda Jones, 36, on a bench warrant for failing to appear on shoplifting charges.
- At about 11:45 p.m., a Smithfield officer took a report from a local man about someone who used his information to open an account in his name, charging more than $21,000.
