State Trooper Log: Two Scofflaws and a Fugitive

Scituate Barracks: Troopers arrest man for failing to appear on restitution hearing

At 11:28 a.m., Troopers arrested Ralph A. DeSimone, age 47, of 61 Allen Ave., North Providence, Rhode Island, for a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Determination of Restitution on an original charge of Larceny greater than $1,500 originating from the Smithfield Police Department.

DeSimone was transported to State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Detective Bureau: ACI inmate charged with being a fugitive from MA authorities

On Jan. 17, a Detective assigned to the ACI charged inmate Keith Corriveau, age 37, with a last known address of 15 Hill Ave., Smithfield, with being a Fugitive from Justice from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The North Attleboro Police Department had filed a detainer on Corriveau for failure to appear on an original charge of Larceny over $250. Corriveau was presented before the Honorable Judge Houlihan where extradition proceedings were waived. Corriveau was remanded to the custody of the ACI to await Massachusetts authorities.

Scituate Barracks: Motor vehicle stop turns up court scofflaw

At 1:50 a.m., Jan. 18 Troopers arrested Michael Catanzaro, age 61, of 367 Woonasquatucket Ave., Centerdale, on a 3rd Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear/ Ability to Pay on the charge of Operating With a Suspended License originating out of the State Police Wickford Barracks.

The arrest was the result a motor vehicle stop on Manton Avenue in Providence. Catanzaro was transported to the Headquarters where he was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution.
