Stephen P. Major: Navy Veteran

Stephen P. Major, 64, of Saw Mill Road, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at his home.

Born in Providence, a son of the late David A. and Virginia (Whitehead) Major, he had lived in Smithfield before moving to Harmony 20 years ago.

He was a polisher for Herff Jones and had previously worked for AT Cross for over 30 years. He was a member of the Cranston Fish and Game Association and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his sons: Jason Major of Cranston and Corey Major of Smithfield; two brothers, David Major and his wife, Rosemarie; and Kevin Major and his wife, Diane, all of Johnston; and his former wives, Anna (Cugini) Marshall and Rita (Fraioli) Maeder.

Funeral service Thursday at 11 am in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.

Burial in RI Veterans Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 4 to 7pm.
