Tuesday Five: Council, Internship, Board Posts, Things

Town Council - The Smithfield Town Council meets tonight at 7 p.m.,  Smithfield Town Hall, 64 Farnum Pike. Among other items on their agenda, they'll discuss a bid award for the Smithfield School Committee to the next lowest bidder for specified janitorial supplies, and a Resolution for the Smithfield EMA to promote severe weather emergency preparedness and awareness events.

Board post openings - The town is seeking members to serve on the Sewer Authority, Historic Preservation Commission, Affordable Housing Advisory Board, and Financial Review Commission. Interested parties should submit a letter of interest to the Town Manager’s Office, 64 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917 along with an application form.  A letter of interest may contain your interest or experience in the field of each particular board or commission that you are applying for and, optionally, résumé information.
