Narragansett Bay Monitored by 34 DEM Cameras
The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management keeps an eye on the Bay from about three dozen sites, according to the Providence Journal.
The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management now monitors boaters on Narragansett Bay and drivers on the Newport Bridge through a network of 34 cameras.
From the Port of Providence to the Pell Bridge in Newport, the DEM gets real-time footage from the camera system, the Providence Journal reported.
Camera sites include the Wickford marina and Quonset Point in North Kingstown, Beavertail in Jamestown, the Mt. Hope Bridge in Bristol, and Newport Hospital and the Pell Bridge in Newport.
