The second victim of Tuesday's serious car crash on Stafford Road in Tiverton is showing improvement.Â
Seth A. Poe Demoura, 21, of 386 Canonicus St., Tiverton, was listed in "serious" medical condition on Thursday, according to a Rhode Island Hospital spokeswoman.Â
While his condition is listed as serious, this is an improvement from the previous "critical" condition.Â
Poe Demoura was seriously injured early Tuesday after a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix he was traveling in struck a utility pole on Stafford Road. The driver of the vehicle, 21-year-old Bryan Henrique, also of Tiverton, was pronounced dead at the scene.Â
Rescue personnel were able to free Poe Demoura from the Pontiac after removing the roof of the vehicle using the Jaws of Life. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was previously listed in critical condition.Â
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.Â
