Storm Expected To Cause Scattered Power Outages Across Coast

The NWS is predicting scattered power outages across the coastal plain as this recent storm passes through.

Tiverton and Little Compton residents should prepare for power outages as strong winds and heavy snows should endure through 1 p.m. on Friday, according to the lastest winter weather advisory by the National Weather Service station in Taunton, MA.

While meteorologists are now predicting just 3 to 5 inches of snow - down from 6-10 inches - from this latest snow storm, the bulk of the snow should come down Thursday evening into Friday morning and could impact commuters as well as the power grids.

National Grid announced yesterday that it has crews on the ground ready to respond in the instance of any outages in the area.
