Tiverton Land Trust Needs Local's Help In Gaining Accreditation

The Tiverton Land Trust is seeking public commentary to include in its application for national accreditation.

The Tiverton Land Trust (TLT) is applying for national accreditation for its work in preserving and protecting important natural spaces and working lands in town.

The land trust accreditation program recognizes land conservation organizations that meet national quality standards. A public comment period is now open seeking local opinions on whether the TLT complies with national quality standards.

The Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance, conducts an extensive review of each applicant’s policies and programs. It will evaluate the TLT's written policies and procedures and accreditation would verify that the local land trust meets national standards both in its written and operational policy.
