Tiverton-Little Compton Could See 10 Inches From Snowstorm

Meteorologists are forecasting up to 10 inches of snowfall for the area in the slow-moving snowstorm that will last through Friday.

Sping might be just aroudn the corner, but winter is packing one final punch this week with another snowstorm. This time meteorologists predict Tiverton and Little Compton could see 6-10 inches of snowfall.

Southern New England will be most impacted by the heavy wet snows expected from the slow-moving coastal storm that will pass through the area beginning tonight and last through Friday, according to a winter storm watch advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) in Taunton, MA.

NWS officials are warning residents to prepare now for the storm. Due to the wet and heavy nature of the snow, travel may become difficult, particularly late Thursday into Friday morning. Strong winds combined with snow accumulations could also result in power outages. Wind gusts could hit 50 mph over the next several days.
