Little Compton Man Charged with Pot Possession

Daniel Massey, 24, of 51 Queen Awashunk Trail, was arrested on Monday, March 11 at 9:11 p.m. and charged with possession of marijuana, first offense and driving in possession of a controlled substance.  Massey was transported to headquarters, processed and released on a district court hearing.

North Dartmouth Man Arrested For DUI

Ray C. Dutton, 48, of 891 Fisher Road, North Dartmouth, MA, was arrested on March 4 at 5:32 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Police stopped Dutton's car on Route 24 after an officer reportedly saw him swerving over center lane, across fog line and nearly stike a curb. The police officer noted that Dutton appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and administered a field sobriety test, which Dutton failed. At Tiverton Police headquarters on Industrial Way, Dutton refused to take preliminary breath test. He was arraigned in Second Division District Court on March 5 and released on $1000 personal recognizance.

Arrested On Warrant

Emmanuel Jaime Vierira, 25, of 616 3rd St. Apt. 1N, Fall River, was arrested on March 4 at 11:32 p.m. on a Sixth Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in Superior Court. He was held overnight and arraigned the following day.

Fall River Woman Arrested On Warrant

Tarisa Talynne Alfonso, 21, of 7 Old Colony Terrace, Fall River, was arrested on Saturday, March 9 at 6:20 p.m. on a Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear. She was transferred to the Adult Correctional Institutions in Cranston.

Cranston Man Arrested on Warrant

Anthony Marcotte, 20, of 17 Amanda Court, Cranston, was arrested on Sunday, March 10 at 7:13 p.m. after police stopped him for speeding on Route 24. A subsequent computer check showed Marcotte was wanted by another department for allegedly passing counterfeit bills. He was taken into custody and held.

Local Woman Arrested on Warrant

Candice Pacheco, 38, of 19 Mill St., Tiverton was arrested on Sunday, March 10 at 7:45 p.m. on a Second Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pretrial conference. She was held overnight.

Tiverton Woman Nabbed On Warrant

Michaela E. Thomas, 28, of 293 Robert Gray Ave., Tiverton, was arrested on Sunday, March 10 at 9:24 p.m. on an affidavit and arrest warrant out of Warren. She was taken into custody and later released to Warren Police.

Tiverton Man Charged With Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend

Jared Chase, 38, of 293 Robert Gray Ave., Tiverton was arrested on Sunday, March 10 at 11:12 p.m. and charged with domestic simple assault, domestic vandalism and domestic disorderly conduct. According to reports, Chase kicked in a bedroom door, injuring his ex-girlfriend's arm. He was arraigned on March 11 and released on $3,000 personal recognizance.
