Skyla Gilroy of Cranston is accused of killing Donald Boss of West Warwick in a Dec. 2020 hit-and-run crash on Airport Road in Warwick.

WARWICK, RI — A Cranston woman wanted in connection with a fatal December 22 hit-and-run crash in Warwick has been returned to the custody of Warwick Police after her February 12 arrest by US Marshals in the town of Surprise, Arizona.
Skyla Gilroy, 20, was wanted by Warwick Police for operating a vehicle in a fatal crash that occurred in front of the Speedway Gas at 61 Airport Road at 4 a.m. three days before Christmas. Police say Donald Boss, 51, of West Warwick died from his injuries after he was dragged by the vehicle, a 2008 blue Nissan Rogue. Gilroy immediately fled the scene, leaving Boss in the roadway, according to Warwick Police Detective Captain Ryan Sornberger.
Gilroy is charged with Duty to Stop in Accidents Resulting in Death and was arraigned in Kent County District Court this morning. She was released on $75,000 bail with surety and is scheduled to return to court on May 24.
