WARWICK, RI β€” A top-ten fugitive and registered sex offender from Lee County, Florida who was wanted on charges of raping a minor was arrested Thursday morning at the Extended Stay America hotel in Pawtucket by members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force.

Kyndall Tyree Hutchins, 33, was tracked down after a week on the run, and was arrested without incident at around 8:30 a.m., according to Rhode Island State Police Capt. John Allen. Hutchins was arraigned as a fugitive at Sixth District Court in Providence, is now being held at ACI Cranston, and has waived extradition to the Sunshine State.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Don Freeman said Friday that Hutchins was with a woman and her young child when he was arrested, and that the woman has ties to both Florida and Rhode Island. The woman and the child are unharmed. The hotel was not evacuated for the arrest, and the woman answered the door for law enforcement after a short time.
