Man Possibly Struck By Own Car In Warwick Parking Lot: Police
An elderly man died Saturday morning after he was found lying near his car at 31 Universal Blvd., the site of several restaurants.

WARWICK, RI — An elderly man died Saturday after police found him unresponsive and severely injured near his own car in a restaurant parking lot at 31 Universal Blvd.

Police responded to the area around 8 a.m. on March 13 and found a seriously injured man lying in the parking lot. The man was transported to Kent County Memorial Hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

Warwick detectives and the department's crash reconstruction team are investigating. Police say the man may have been struck by his own vehicle. However, the exact cause of death will be determined by the Rhode Island Medical Examiner. No foul play is suspected at this time, the police department said in a media release.
