State police say she faces accusations including obtaining property by false pretense and misusing public assistance, and she’s been released with a future court date.

Red Sox free agent target (with local ties) re-signs with Padres on $75M deal (masslive.com) — A former Bishop Hendricken standout who grew up in Warwick has turned down a chance to join the Red Sox and instead re-signed with the San Diego Padres on a three-year, $75 million deal. Michael King, who pitched at Boston College and had interest in Boston, will remain in San Diego as the Red Sox now shift their offseason focus toward adding bats.
   

4. R.I.'s median home price at $505K in November, while sales decline (pbn.com subscription) — With the latest housing report datelined from Warwick’s median single-family home price hit $505,000 in November, even as sales slipped nearly 10%. Local buyers face tight inventory but may get some relief if mortgage rates ease and new state housing initiatives expand supply in 2026.
