Update: Police say a female motorcyclist was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in a collision with an SUV.

WARWICK, RI — Police on Wednesday evening warned motorists to avoid the Greenwood Bridge area due to a crash. The Warwick Police Department posted to Facebook at around 5 p.m. and said local roadways would be closed to traffic for several hours.

Unofficial sources say that a motorcycle and an SUV were involved in a crash near Main Avenue and Jefferson Boulevard. Patch has reached out to the Warwick Police Department seeking confirmation.
