Giving Back In Westerly: Local Causes To Support This Season

Giving Tuesday is a global movement that encourages people to give back to their communities, typically through charitable donations, volunteer work or acts of kindness. It takes place annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving in the U.S., right after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. While it's celebrated widely, the real impact happens when we do good right at home by supporting local businesses, causes and organizations working to uplift our own communities.

Funded through auctions and raffles at car shows from Florida to Maine, the Westerly-based organization has contributed over $50,000 to help the next generation of automotive professionals succeed.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors Rhode Island

Neighbors Helping Neighbors Rhode Island (NHNRI) is a nonprofit that provides free home repairs to low-income homeowners in South County. Operated entirely by volunteers, NHNRI focuses its resources on building materials and licensed contractors, addressing urgent repair needs to improve the quality of life for residents in need.
