Back To School: Exeter-West Greenwich 2021-22 School Calendar

Parents in Exeter can mark the first day of school coming later this fall.

EXETER, RI — Back-to-school planning has already begun, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Exeter-West Greenwich Regional School District.

The first day of school for most students in Exeter is September 14, according to a posted calendar.

Gov. Dan McKee is recommending that all Rhode Island school children return to the classroom with masks in keeping with new guidance from the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. However, the decision will be made by local school districts.

All grade levels attend: Sept. 3

Labor Day - no school: Sept. 6

Columbus Day - no school: Oct. 11

Early release: Oct. 21

K-8 evening parent conferences: Oct. 28

PK-12 parent conferences/PD - Teachers (no school): Oct. 29

Veterans Day - no school: Nov. 11

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-26

Holiday recess: Dec. 23-31

Martin Luther King Day - no school: Jan. 17

Early release - no PM PK: Feb. 3

President's Day - no school: Feb. 21

Winter Recess - no school: Feb.21-25

PD/Planning - teachers (no school): March 14

Good Friday - no school: April 15
