East Greenwich Man Fled Scene of West Greenwich Accident: Cops

The accident resulted in at least one injury, police said.

WEST GREENWICH, RI — An East Greenwich man fled the scene of a crash in West Greenwich, police said.

Tyler Dees, 26, was arrested shortly before 9:30 p.m. Monday and charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in personal injury, obstructing an officer in execution of duty and reckless driving, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Dees was involved in a crash on Route 95, the release said.

Dees was arrested after troopers located him on Hopkins Hill Road in West Greenwich, according to the release.

"Mr. Dees was transported to the State Police — Hope Valley Barracks, processed, and held overnight as a bail violator pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court," the release said.
