North Kingstown Man Arrested On Numerous Warrants: Cops
The man was wanted for violating probation, missing court and new charges, police said.
WEST GREENWICH, RI — A wanted North Kingstown man fled on foot from a traffic stop but was captured and taken into custody on numerous warrants early Friday, police said.
Jason Dupuis, 49, was arrested on warrants charging him with violating his probation and failing to appear in court, as well as warrants charging him with domestic violence, shoplifting, obstructing an officer in execution of duty, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, resisting arrest, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by certain persons prohibited, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Dupuis was pulled over on Nooseneck Hill Road in West Greenwich shortly before 12:30 a.m. but made a run for it, according to the release.

"Dupuis was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was held overnight pending arraignment in Third Division District Court.
