Coach Cliff Fortin said he'll field a young team combined with returning players.
EXETER, RI β Coach Cliff Fortin of the Exeter West Greenwich/Prout football program said summer is no time to rest for a high school team hoping to field another playoff run in 2021.
"We have young faces combined with returning players," Fortin said. "We have a lot of new kids, and we lost a lot of graduating seniors. We're getting them ready and prepared for the game."
Last year under Fortin's leadership, EWG/Prout made the playoffs for the first time in many years. "There's a lot of excitement," Fortin said. "We're getting them competing, getting some cardio, and seeing what they are able to bring to the table."
