School Committee - On July 25, 5 p.m., theWoonsocket School Committee will meet at Hamlet Middle School, 60 Florence Dr., to discuss recommendations from a review of the Special Education Department and a plan of action/timeline for restructuring.

Animals at Harris - Animal World Experiences comes to Woonsocket Harris Public Library Thursday July 25 1-2 p.m. They'll bring live animals that dig in the earth as part of our Summer Reading Program. For ages four and up. Free tickets still available call 401-769-9044 to reserve tickets.

Movies in the Park - Movies in the Parks returns this week for its final evening, featuring Wreck it Ralph. All proceeds from the concession stand sales go directly back to Woonsocket Parks & Recreation and future events.

Nixle - The Woonsocket Police and Fire Department want to send a reminder about Nixle.  They encourage all residents and interested parties to sign up for Nixle’s OPT IN notification alerts.  You will be able to choose what messages you want to be informed of including emergency alerts, public safety updates, or community event information. You can receive Nixle messages on your cell phone, tablet, or other device.
