  1. The Charleston Police Department reminded the public to lock their vehicles at night to avoid thefts. In February, the department received reports of 52 thefts involving vehicles, out of which 32 incidents involved unlocked cars. The burglaries resulted in the theft of 20 firearms, according to police. (ABC NEWS 4)
  2. The South Carolina Governor's Office has announced that Patten Seed Company, a turfgrass production company, will be investing $2.2 million to create dozens of new jobs in Charleston County. The company's new headquarters will be situated at 22 Westedge St. The company is scheduled to open within the first quarter of 2023. (ABC NEWS 4)
  3. The North Charleston Fire Department is battling hot spots from a brush fire that occurred on Palmetto Commerce Parkway. Charleston County has evacuated its emergency services building due to the fire, but they are still taking calls from their backup center. The department is collaborating with South Carolina forestry crews to put out the remaining hot spots. (Live 5 News WCSC)
