Boone Hall Cuts Ribbon on Corn Maze
Six-acre maze promoting CBS affiliate Live5News opens Monday.
Boone Hall Plantation officially opens its corn maze to the public on Monday, but on Thursday the media and sponsors got a preview of the U.S. 17 attraction.
This year the maze promotes WCSC-Live5News, the Charleston CBS affiliate. The six-acre maze, which took all summer to grow, is cut in the shape of the TV station's logo.
"It says that we are every where," said Rita Scott, the station's general manager. "We want to be wherever people are having a good time, but also where we can bring back great information."

Previous mazes have promoted Mount Pleasant, South Carolina tourism and the Charleston-made Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
On Monday, Boone Hall also opens its slate of fall children's attractions that accompany the corn maze. A pupkin patch, amusements for the kids, a hay ride and the popular Boone Hall Fright Nights, also open on Monday.
