The <a href="http://ww2.charlestonanimalsociety.org/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Charleston Animal Society</a> is now taking care of a dog that had been shaved and branded with some kind of caustic substance. CAS posted a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151676305666369&amp;set=a.81553811368.96364.81551561368&amp;type=1&amp;theater" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">photo of "Lucky"</a> to Facebook showing the number 300 burned into his sides on Thursday. He was spotted and brought in to the no-kill shelter by a concerned citizen. The shelter's vetrinarian, Dr. Sarah Boyd, determined the brand mark was made by a caustic substance, after Lucky's sides had been shaved. The brand was made on both sides. Animal Control is investigating the case.
