- Peter Shahid, a Charleston city councilmember, launched his mayoral campaign on Wednesday, citing frustration with the current administration. He plans to address issues like crime, flood management, housing, traffic, and growth control. Other candidates include Clay Middleton and William Cogswell, while the current mayor remains focused on issues like flooding, transportation, housing, and safety. (ABC NEWS 4)
- The Charleston Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect related to an assault investigation. The incident occurred in the Market Street area during the early morning hours of Mar. 19. If anyone has any information about the incident or recognizes the person, they can contact the Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch or Crime Stoppers of the Low Country. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- The Charleston County Sheriffβs Office is seeking public assistance in locating a stolen orange 1976 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The car, taken from a property on Mary Ravenel Road earlier this month, did not have a license plate. The owner discovered it was missing on Mar. 8.
