Charleston Police Release Sketch of Robbery Suspect

Charleston Police are asking for help identifying an attempted armed robbery suspect.

Charleston Police investigators are seeking help from the public identifying a suspect in an attempted armed robbery downtown on Tuesday.

Police released a sketch of the suspect, a 20- to 30-year-old white male of average height with shaggy, sandy blonde hair and a medium build, on Thursday.

The attempted armed robbery took place near the intersection of Cannon and St. Phillip streets around 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to a Charleston Police Department statement.

The suspect is considered potentially armed. Anyone with information about the suspect or the attempted robbery is asked to contact police at 577-7434.
