- The City and the Charleston Wine + Food Festival is coming to upper King Street on Thursday, Mar. 2! The free, family-friendly event will transform three blocks of upper King Street into a pedestrian-only celebration of food and beverages featuring a musical stage, for-purchase food and drinks, and entertainment. The street fest will extend between John and Mary and along Ann Streets from 6-9 p.m. (Holy City Sinner)
- North Charleston police released photographs of a missing toddler and asked for the public’s help locating him. According to police, 15-month-old Kingston Ja-Var Stewart was last seen on Wednesday, Jan. 25, when his mother picked him up for visitation. Police issued an arrest warrant for the mother for “custodial interference” through the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office after she refused to return her son or tell the father, who has custody, where their son is located. - The College of Charleston's 20-game winning streak, the nation's longest winning streak, ended on Saturday, Jan. 28. Hofstra won 85-81 against the College of Charleston (No. 18) during an NCAA college basketball game. Hofstra coach Speedy Claxton said, "That's [really] big for our program. To beat a nationally ranked team on their home court when they've got it rolling like [that does speak] volumes about our kids." (CBS News)
